Coming from the Baroque Turin, Vittorio Alessi spent his first decade in his current base of Copenhagen exploring different forms of artistic expression, from fresco, wall murals (Trompe l’oeil) to conservation and sculpture.
With the passage of time his interests encompassed digital art and design, leading him to study design & 3D graphics.
After a period working with visual effects, animation and modelling for cinema and entertainment, in 2006 he was asked to join the OLE LYNGGAARD COPENHAGEN Product Design and Development team.
His position at a world renowned design house, honoured by appointment to the Danish royal family, opened a vista of new frontiers
Working with the team developed Vittorio skills and experience ranging from concept design with the very talented Ole and Charlotte Lynggaard to the prototyping and hands -on bench work skilled jewellers.
A combination that laid the ground to make Vittorio what he is today.
Now, 10 years on, Vittorio has become a 3D designer & prototype specialist, contributing to international portfolios of jewellery design houses including PANDORA, Georg Jensen, Maria Black and Vibe Harsløf.
Vittorio takes his inspiration from nature, with its synthesis geometric forms and complicated and organic shapes. Through his work he can merge his past as a painter and sculptor with the present in contemporary design.
To do so he preserves the past by using recycled leather, wood and natural materials and gems, minimizing environmental impact, while producing creations that will last into the future.
